Female of The Day ~ MacKayla Lane from The Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning.

Today our female of the day is … MacKayla Lane  from The Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning. Wow talk about a woman. Mac went from Ms. Rainbow to Ms. Death in a matter of weeks in the fever series. Looking for her sister’s murderer she runs into Jericho Barrons and from there her lipstick days are switched to halo days. Running from evil fairies can really mess up your whole agenda.

"Oh right," I snapped, "but we sure were going to take the time to play your silly game of
death-by-sex, weren't we?"

DEATH-BY-SEX-FAE(e.g. V'lane): A Fae that is so sexually "potent" a human dies
from intercourse with it unless the Fae protects the human from the full impact of its
deadly eroticism. (Definition ongoing)

Female of the Day ~ Kaia Skyhawk from The Lords of The Underworld Series.

Our female of the day is the kick ass harpy Kaia Skyhawk from The Lords of The Underworld Series. Kaia is one tough chick and she picked one hell of a lord to get het claws in. Strider made sure that Kaia puts up one hell of a fight to rein him in.

“Who’re you talking to?” he asked in a sleep-rumbling voice.
A sleep-rumbling voice that turned her on. Damn him, everything about him turned her on.
Be proactive. Nip this in the bud. “Maybe I was talking to you,” she snapped, stomping to the
bed, grabbing a pillow and beating his chest with it.
He didn’t bother raising his arms to protect himself. “Has anyone ever told you what a
bundle of joy you are in the morning?”
Bang. “No.” Bang.

Female of The Day ~ Bella from The Black Dagger Brotherhood

So today’s female of the day is the very brave and stubborn Bella from The Black Dagger Brotherhood. This woman fell head over heals for the brotherhoods most feared vampire male – Zsadist. With his twisted and tortured past Zsadist was not the guy you wanted to meet in a dark ally. Scared and ruthless, he is or lets say was the meanest brother on the team. That is until Bella got hold of him. Falling in love with him from the moment she saw him, she battled forth until he succumb to her will.

"Why?" she said softly. "Why does it—"
"Just get the fuck out of here, please ." He could barely get the words out. "I'm about to destroy
something. And I don't want it to be you."
"You won't hurt me."
He closed his eyes. "Goddamn. What is it with you refined types? Are you bred to get off on torturing
people?'
"Good lord, no. I just want to help you."
"Liar," he spat, eyes popping open. "You're such a liar. You don't want to help me, you want to poke
the rattlesnake with a stick just to see what it does."
"That's not true. At least… not now."
His gaze went cold, soulless. And his voice lost all intonation. "You want me? Fine. You can fucking
have me."
